After I got my new Nexus 7, I went through a couple of the cheap cases available on Amazon and found them disappointing. They just seemed cheaply made and the fake leather gave off some nasty chemical smell. I found the Portenzo website and so far, I have been very happy with my new Portenzo case. The tablet fits well, very snug and the case is stylish. Most importantly, it doesn't have any nasty faux-leather smell to it. I got the IntelliStand, but to be honest I haven't really used it, since I primarily use my tablet like a book rather than for viewing video or typing. I didn't give it five stars because it is not totally comfortable to hold in the hand like a book. I have a case for my Kindle Keyboard that is totally comfortable when held like a book, but I haven't been able to find that same type of case for the Nexus. At any rate, this case is worth the money, in my opinion. I love being able to find a quality domestic-made product, vs. all the cheap imported junk that we are typically inundated with. My Nexus hasn't been out of the Portenzo case since I first put it in there.

Wood is smooth and polished, the wood really does resemble pages of a book, the strap is properly secured as of now, the magnets for Intellistand do work, but not that strong. The worksmanship is immaculate.

I really like the look and feel of this case. My parents visited and didn't even know that this case had my tablet in it, they thought it was a book. Honestly that was exactly what I was going for when I looking for a case. It gets the job done and is unique. The only thing that could be better is the intellistand but that is only because I was hoping I could lock in place so the screen wouldn't move as much.
I am very glad I requested a refund from TreeGloo. They were taking so long to get a product out that I got fed up and stumbled upon Portenzo. Very glad that all happened. I'll definitely be coming back for my next case.

This case is a very high quality and I've been mostly impressed with it. I almost wish I had gotten the Alano case just cause I'm that satisfied with this one.
Customer service is very, very impressive and quick.
Overall I would say, if you're thinking about getting this case, do it. You won't regret.

I can't fault the quality of the Portenzo case and it was delivered to Australia within a week of being bought. An especially pleasant experience after ordering a Treegloo case in January and (finally) receiving a grudging refund after it had not been delivered three months later. I regret not going with Portenzo in the first place - don't make the same mistake!!

Did my research and bought the best for my Nexus 7. Great product, great service. IntelliStand works perfectly for me, make sure you order it! Was leery of the strap, but it works fine and looks good.

i did a lot of research before buying this case and finally bit the bullet and did it. i got the intellistand and magnet cover without the strap. that with the shipping made it a pretty expensive case. but it was the only case i could find that offered me the exact options i wanted and the only case i could not find a negative review about.
needless to say this case exceeds my expectations. i absolutely love it. its super classy (i got the faux leather with dark purple inside) and looks exactly like a book. its very low profile, fits in a lab coat pocket, has great stand options, and the case does not overlap the screen at all. it really is exactly what i wanted. and it came in about a week!
my only concern is that the corners of the case where i am constantly bending it are starting to look worn. i guess this is only natural and i hope that the corners and the case itself last for the life of my tablet.

Exactly as described, solid, sleek. The nice thing is that it shipped out within days as opposed to other vendors who never ship out after an order is placed. Would definitely buy again.

I ordered my case from Portenzo on March 22 and it was delivered to my home in Calgary Alberta Canada on April 5. I am so happy with the quality of the product and the speed of the delivery. I had previously ordered a different case from another competitor and 4 months later it still never came so I cancelled that order and ordered from Portenzo instead. Best decision! I love my new Portenzo Case!

This my second Bookcase for my Nexus 7. I am, again, very happy with my purchase and customer experience.
Everyone who sees it is very impressed and a couple of people have bought one themselves. These cases need to be seen and held to truly understand the level of craftsmanship they carry.

I'm really happy with my Nexus 7 Bookcase from Portenzo, the product is very well built, it feels good to hold, and has a nice grip and everything. There's only one thing I'm sad about it, it's that I was so excited to buy it that I forgot to tick the Intellistand box for it, and didn't recheck before confirming the purchase. Overall it is an excellent product, thank you and congratulations Portenzo.

For my new Nexus 7, I wanted something quality, good looking, with sleep/wake function, and also a stand so I could use it to view videos on the plane. This case met all those requirements!
After a lot of research and reading, I found out that lots of buyers had troubles with other competitors' products, so I went with the Portenzo. I don't regret it one bit!
This thing is engineered very well too. The sound chamber really works, it amplifies the volume and also makes it sound better, a bit more bass! The cutouts are perfect...I was worried my headphone jack would hit against the wood, but it fit (even with the case closed) with surgical precision. Just be careful if you have a fat headphone jack!The charger plug also fits when the case is closed.
My only negative with this is tha the Magnagrip magnets are not strong at all, so definitely get the elastic strap too. Lucky for me I got both! I think it looks better with the strap anyways and it gives it the Moleskin look.
I would also definitely recommend the Intellistand feature as it works very well.
Production time was great. I was worried I wouldn't get it in time before leaving to Europe (I'm in Australia). I ordered it 4 weeks before my scheduled departure and the Production time at that point was 14 days (It's 5-7 days at the time of this review) and the delivery through UPS was 7-21 days. I was pleasantly surprised when it was produced within 5 days and arrived at my doorstep within the next week. Basically 14 days from Order to me!
Save your cash...don't waste your money on poor quality eBay cases...just get the one case you will ever need :)

The product is fantastic, and I would have given 5 stars if the Nexus 7 case had a compartment for the stylus pro. Curiously, the iPad case has it... May be the next version ;)

Case came in record time, recieved in about a week and a half after I ordered it. Materials used are top notch, magnets are secure enough to keep the close closed but easy enough to pop right open. The color scheme you choose is paramount to how much you'll enjoy it, and the blue/black combo pops amazingly. No cons to this purchase whatsoever, treat yourself to a Portenzo and you won't be disappointed.

This is the only case I have for my Nexus 7 and quite frankly I doubt i'll ever look for another.
The case is very well built. Everything fits and functions perfectly. The design is just what i've wanted for as a case. It looks like a plain journal clean and simple, but it functions as a stand as well.
If I have to mention something negative about it it's to just be careful obviously where you hold your tablet. If you hold the case where in the weight of the tablet pushes it against the case on one end it may cause to tear at the spine of the case over time. But so far it hasn't for me. But with this said, it's not enough for me to strike a star off from this product.
I've ordered this twice for my Dad's tablet as well, per my own recommendation and he loved it as well.

We got the bookcase and an Alano. The colours on the Bookcase are beautiful and vibrant, I've gotten a lot of compliments! The case is sturdy and is holding up well to everyday use. I got the intellistand option and find it works very well. The only thing I regret is not getting embossing and a stylus (my tablet goes with me now and I'm using it more).
