Excellent design, excellent quality. I feel like it doubled the value of my tablet. As a physician I have to attend a lot of meetings and I get compliments on it everyday!

I love, love, love my Portenzo Alano Old Book case for my Nexus 7. After much internal debate over the cost, I decided to go for it as an investment; I haven't been disappointed. It looks superb and all the people I've shown it to are so impressed, especially when they realise it's not a book I'm carrying, but a tablet :o) The leather is beautiful and the workmanship is fantastic. And I was so impressed to get the case within a week of it being shipped to NZ - thanks so much for that! My only gripe is that the Intellistand isn't bending back enough for me to type while upright, but I'm sure that will change with more use.

I work in technology, but I still get odd looks from folks when I walk into a meeting with my Nexus 7. As wonderful as it is to pull up notes, meeting agendas and check my calendar, my coworkers still view it as a "toy". And, judging from the looks of some of my managers, they're just waiting to catch me playing a game.
Enter Alano. It puts my Nexus 7 into a very nice, leather-bound case, that makes carrying my Nexus 7 from meeting to meeting much easier. The odd looks are few and far between, and I find that reading books on my Nexus 7 is far more comfortable. The leather has a tremendous feel to it, and the magnetic enables cover puts my device to sleep with I close it. Ports are still easily accessed, and I actually find my Nexus 7 more useful when its in the cover. Overall, I'm just not sure why I would ever have a tablet without a cover like this one!

waited an extra couple weeks for the case but it was worth it. outstanding in every way. no regrets whatsoever about the cost. quality is superior and it feels great in my hand

Searched high and low for a good case and once I seen the Alano, I knew that anything else would compare to this case.
Its a steep price but well worth the money when you hold the case in your hand.

The communication for the customization on my case was professional and very quick. They were able to provide me with a pdf design of my request in a timely fashion. Shipping was quick too, chose the standard shipping and it arrived 13 days later. I am very happy with the over all quality as well. The leather is good, solid, and flexible in the right places. The carving and customization is sharp and beautiful. The wood is also beautifully sanded and soft, the nexus fit in easy.
Highly recommended.

I had high expectations when I ordered this case for my Nexus 7, but they were met. The customer service was excellent and the product is top-notch. If I had another tablet, I'd order from Portenzo again. Yes, these cases are at a premium cost, but you won't find anything in the stores like these, especially something customizable like this case.

After paying what seemed like a lot and waiting *gasp* three whole weeks, my case showed up today. Once I held my Nexus in the Alano, the price and wait instantly became very reasonable. So rare it is these days to find such magnificent artisan craftsmanship hand made by people who care. You make me very proud of small business, American manufacturing. Lifetime customer made today. I've tried a lot of cases for my Nexus 7 and the portenzo ones are by far the best. Think of them as an investment to protect your tablet. Top notch high quality materials, my nexus deserves the best - and now it has it.

With most stuff being stamped out these days--this stands out as a product that the makers have real pride in. Well done even to fine detail. Fortunately here, spending a decent amount gets you something very very nice.

Overall the quality of the product was excellent by far money well spent. this stand took some time to adjust but when done so it helped a lot. thank you for Tenzo for this excellent case if you want a premium version the Alano is where its at.

What a wonderful product. Very high quality leather and craftsmanship. A little on the high price side. I also wish there was some way to get the magnetic closure rather then just the elastic band.

Very expensive but a work of art! You have to touch it, feeel-it, caress-it, smell it!. Yes indeed this humble cover satisfy all of your senses. Not only that, but it protects the Ipad securely, fulfilling his design function.
