Been looking for a notebook style iPad mini case ever since I got it over 6 months ago. This is the first that looks and feels like it is a little notebook you are carrying around. Excellent construction and feel. Havent noticed it feeling like it has extra weight or bulk. As I am "paper free" in my professional work this now looks the part as well (Plain Chocolate version with same colour elastic). Only very minor comment is that I think I would prefer the elastic to be just a touch wider (only 1-2mm) as it just feels a little lightweight and easily twists rather than lying flat. Excellent product, no hesitation to recommend, my wifes cover will be on order soon (when she can decide the colour!!)

I absolutely love my Alano!!! It's very sleek and portable. I can't picture having any other cover for my mini.

Hello my name is Brian, I'm a Portenzo addict.
This is my third case and it is a perfect balance of beauty, quality, and function. I was a little worried about the size case for the ipad mini. I recently moved to the mini for the size so it was kinda a big deal to add a bunch of bulk to it. The ipad mini Portenzo Alano case was great, yes adds some bulk but not overly so. Still a great fit in the hand and easy to operate.

Owning the Alano case for the last few weeks, i have been getting compliments everywhere i go. Looks great, smell nice and feels fantastic.

I don't know what I can say about the Portenzo Alano that hasn't been said already. Mine is a Tesoro for iPad Mini, and I couldn't be happier with it. The leather is soft and supple and smells like Heaven. The detail work on the front and back covers is amazing. The wood used for the tray feels very solid. There are little rubber corners that will ensure a tight fit onto your iPad.
I can't recommend this case enough! Go get one!

OMG!!!! Where do I start... The day I received my iPad mini I refused to open the box until I got a case for it. It sat in the box unopened for a week before I finally decided on this case. I came across a YouTube review for the Alano case and I was sold. I loved the fact that you can not only personalize the case but you can have custom artwork done by Sarah. I contacted her and she totally turned a plain black Alano case into a Cocalicious Little Black Book for me. The craftsmanship is AMAZING on this case. I have no complaints what so ever. It arrived sooner than expected thanks to Sarah's help with that - considering I had a brand new mini sitting on my desk unopened waiting for this to arrive. The wait was so worth it. This IS the best case out there! I love the way it feels and the smell of the leather is yummy. If you want a case that you can totally make your own than this is the one. Plus Sarah can totally help out with the custom artwork. She is THE BOMB!!!! The Alano case may be a little pricey but if you are gonna spend the money on a expensive iPad, Kindle, or other tablet than you should expect to spend some money on a case. So stop reading the reviews and just buy the case - each and every single review says the same thing... This is the best case you can buy!

Really pleased with my Tesoro old map style design. It looks great and i was surprised how light it was. The iPad mini fits perfectly and the secret sleep button in top right corner works well. Only negative point is with regards to the camera hole - in all the demos/pictures it states the elastic strap covers it so you can't see the hole - either my elastic strap is not wide enough, or the hole was cut too big as it's not hidden at all - needs almost double the width of the current strap to do this, which I was a little disappointed about. There also wasn't the option to have the elastic strap and magnets, unlike some of the other designs on the website. Otherwise very pleased!

Only complaint is it took almost a month to get to me. But it was worth the wait! The quality of this is genuine & i love the feel of it! Really does come off as a book to others. Most people think its a Bible. Which i love! I recommend this company to anyone!

I love this iPad case. It looks like a real book when closed which I absolutely love. I love all the little details they included. It is so nice to be able to keep a stylus right there and all you need to do is press the top corner to lock the screen since the button is covered.

Just received my purchase today. I want to thank you so much. My Alano case is beautiful. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Well worth the wait and cost. For those reading this review, I highly recommend Portenzo, you will not be disappointed. Kudos to the craftsman !!!

The leather case is beautiful more than expected...the stylet is very functionnal but when using the ipad on the stand...it's not really stable & steady (you have to use your hand to hold the case because the screen is less reactive to a stylet than your finger)
5 weeks to get-it but it's a fantastic cover with the smell of leather...it's exactly what i expected.
