Model Purchased: Portenzo Alano in Tesoro with IntelliStand, camera opening and stylus compartment
When I opened my Portenzo case I was suprised to see that the interior leather flap was not smooth - instead it resembled that of a cork used to stopper wine.
Other than that, the case is exceptional and high quality. It fits my iPad with Retina Display perfectly (although the secret sleep button is slightly difficult to use), and the Intellstand is perfectly functional.
I would definitely recommend this iPad case to anyone interested in purchasing a beautiful case with amazing customer service. I originally purchased the case without any of the additions, and when I contacted Portenzo to have them add the IntelliStand feature and Stylus compartment. I then bought the Stylus separately, but it arrived with my newly made case, 7 DAYS EARLY! The current production time for the Tesoro is 14 days, and they cut that time in half!

This is my 2nd time ordering from Portenzo. I was just okay with my first order. I decided to buckle down and try again. This time I am 100% satisfied. I brought the Indiana Journal style and been using it for roughly a month. Unwrapping process: you can smell the leather and feel its uniqueness. It looks superb at first glance and its looking better every day. I've gotten a lot of attention and praise for my cover!

Model Purchased: Alano Black Widow Wingtip
Pros: Looks fantastic! I get compliments on it all the time; High quality product - the fit and finish are perfect, this is a work of art. Feels great to hold the leather is a great material for a cover.
Cons: the IntelliStand is a bit stiff and it wrinkles up the leather on the back of the cover. I am sure it will break in more as I use it but that probably means the creasing on the back will become more pronounced. Would not be a problem on the distressed models like the Indiana Journal but with the smooth leather on the Black Widow it is noticeable.

This case is definitely high quality, and overall I like the gorgeous look, feel, and smell of the leather and wood.
A couple of minor things: I know that every piece of leather is different, but I was a little scared of the edges falling apart because there were so many leather bits sticking out!-I wasn't sure if that was the intended effect. Also, my front cover was warped when I got it, so I had to bend it/press it down with a book overnight for the first few nights to get it to lie flat on the wood.
Portenzo has excellent customer service! They forgot to send the stylus the first time, and immediately put one in the mail for me.

Got the alano in dark chocolate and it looks better than it does in the picture. Great quality leather and sturdy construction. Wanted it laser engraved but was worried the picture would not come out right, well its perfect. Its better than I expected. iPad is firmly in place and does not pop out at all like other cases. Really happy I went with Portenzo. Customer service was excellent every step of the way.Got it super fast too, because it was custom, I was told they rushed my order.

I've used several high end covers for my iPads and this is the best by far. The leather is gorgeous, thick and sturdy. The camera hole perfect. Sound is still excellent. Quality of the frame is top notch. Wish I'd found this first before wasting money on other products that didn't hold up.

I was introduced to Portenzo by my college aged son who is my personal product search engine. He bought a basic product for his mimi. I then began custom designing a case for ny mini and I just received my fully customized Alano for my iPad4. I cannot express how perfect the product looks and feels. Sometimes words are inadequate to describe a custom product. All I can say is between Lea in customer service and Sarah the Art Goddess, NOT buying this product is a fate you should avoid. I am having all my colleagues buy cases and in my interactive agency we are preparing to buy cases for all if the mobile devices we own. I can't praise Portenzo enough for what they make and there attentiveness to customer needs and desires. A must have!!!!

A quality product that I would purchase again and recommend to others. Also, great customer service. Only thing that takes time to get used to, and working is the hidden on/off feature, which is not as easy as it appears on the video demonstrating the feature (at least on my cover).

I'm so happy since my cover arrived, its exactly the way it is on the video. I thought because I found it on the internet it might be a bit less than the advert but it is exactly what I expected and more. The only sad thing is that the cover I had before wa not really protective so I dropped my Ipad once and now its a little disfigured on the top left corner :( and I see it more that I have this cover but that's my fault for buying a cheap cover... So happy you, love you Portenzo, you guys rock. If I had all the money in the world I'd buy different makes of the same cover :) schweeeet

Happy with the details of my Tesoro old world case. Everyone who sees it remarks on its uniqueness. Pleased with how the iPad investment
is protected by the wood - bamboo frame. Would give it 5 stars but the stylus seems of less quality - seems very short - and not what I was expecting. Also took a while to use the hidden shut off - pressing the corner. Although it would have been nice to have access to the power off button. Overall well worth the money. Oh - you can smell the quality of the leather. No other case come close,

Seldom have I seen such attention to detail and exquisite craftsmanship. I get comments everywhere I go on how beautiful and well made the case is. The Alano Tesoro is worth every penny and then some!
